Mousegraphics is printing construction plan sets and scanning paper blueprints for contractors, architects, engineers and property owners from its shop in Tempe, Arizona. The services support bid packages, permit submittals and job site sets as well as the digitizing of older paper drawings.
Construction projects still depend on printed plans at bid meetings and on job sites, even when the drawings are created digitally. Many building owners and facility managers also keep rolls of older paper plans that exist nowhere else and are difficult to share or protect from damage.

"Contractors call us on a Tuesday needing ten full sets for a Thursday bid walk," said Brian, owner of Mousegraphics. "That is a normal week for us, and we set up the shop to handle it."
The company's plan printing service produces large-format black and white and color plan sets in standard architectural and engineering sizes, collated and bound or rolled for delivery. Half-size sets can be printed for field use.
For older drawings, Mousegraphics offers blueprint scanning that converts paper plans into digital files that can be emailed, archived or reprinted. Scanning is often requested before renovations, property sales or insurance reviews when original files cannot be found.
Specifications, submittals and bid documents that accompany plans can be produced through the shop's booklet printing service, bound and tabbed to match the plan set.
"A lot of buildings in the Valley only have one paper copy of the original plans, and it is falling apart," Brian said. "Once it is scanned, the owner can share it with an architect or a contractor in a few minutes."
Files can be submitted electronically, and the company checks sheet sizes, scales and page order before printing to avoid mistakes in multi-sheet sets.
Plan sets can be printed on bond paper for job site use or on heavier stock for presentation sets, and the company can add covers and binding strips so sets stay together in the field.
Scanned drawings are returned in common digital formats, and original paper plans are handled carefully and returned to the owner after scanning.
Mousegraphics serves general contractors, subcontractors, design firms, property managers and homeowners across Tempe, Phoenix, Mesa, Chandler and the rest of the Valley.
Plan printing and scanning orders can be placed through the company website or by phone.
