Luxury Motors of South Bay has relocated its European and German auto repair shop to 505 Pacific Coast Highway in Hermosa Beach, moving the business onto the coastal corridor that runs the length of the South Bay. The shop's phone number, technicians, and marque specialization carry over from its previous Torrance address, and the new site adds customer parking on site.

The new address sits a short drive from Manhattan Beach to the north and Redondo Beach to the south, with El Segundo, Palos Verdes, and Torrance reachable along the same corridor. Customers from the prior location continue to be served, and the phone line remains 310-504-0089. Downtown Hermosa Beach and Pier Avenue are within walking distance of the shop.
According to owner Shawn Baker, the move changed the address and the size of the space rather than the service. The same technicians, the same four primary marques, and the same inspect-before-quote process transferred to Pacific Coast Highway, and Baker says the larger floor gives the team more room to work per vehicle.
The shop specializes in European and German auto repair for Porsche, BMW, Audi, and Mercedes-Benz, and also services Maserati, Volkswagen, and Volvo. Its work covers brake systems, suspension components, cooling systems, oil leaks, electrical faults, transmission service, routine maintenance, and engine performance diagnostics. Each marque is serviced using the make-specific scan tools and factory diagnostic software written for it.

Across those makes the work stays make-specific. On BMW engines the shop regularly replaces oil filter housing gaskets, valve cover gaskets, and the electric water pumps that weaken with heat and mileage. Audi and Volkswagen models built on the shared 2.0T platform come in for intake-valve carbon cleaning, ignition coils, and PCV service. Porsche owners bring Cayenne, Macan, and 911 models in for oil service, coolant work, and suspension components, and Mercedes-Benz vehicles arrive for air suspension, electrical, and cooling repairs.
Oil service on these vehicles is not interchangeable, since each engine calls for a specific synthetic grade, fill volume, and filter, so the shop follows the manufacturer specification for the engine in front of it rather than a universal bulk oil. That scheduled work is detailed at luxurymotorssouthbay.com/routine-maintenance.
Diagnostic work accounts for a large share of what comes through the bays. The shop's stated approach is to isolate a fault to its root cause and confirm it against live module data before quoting a repair, a process it applies to persistent warning lights, intermittent electrical problems, and drivability complaints. That work is described at luxurymotorssouthbay.com/engine-diagnostics.

Every job begins with photo-documented findings and an itemized estimate, and no parts are ordered until the customer approves the work.
Service also extends to the drivetrain. Many German models run the ZF eight-speed automatic, which the shop maintains on a scheduled fluid and filter interval, while Audi and Volkswagen dual-clutch gearboxes get their own fluid interval and adaptation reset.
Baker is an ASE Certified Master Technician and is EPA certified. He is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who worked in aircraft maintenance and a Universal Technical Institute honors graduate. He estimates he has serviced more than 20,000 vehicles across roughly two decades in the trade, a figure he describes as his own approximation drawn from his working history rather than a documented or audited total. Baker says the shop regularly sees brake, cooling, and suspension wear that he attributes to stop-and-go coastal traffic and salt air in its service area.
"The address changed and the work did not," said Shawn Baker, owner and ASE Certified Master Technician at Luxury Motors of South Bay. "Same crew, same tools, same four marques. We look at the car, show the customer photos of what we actually found, and quote it before anyone picks up a wrench."
The shop offers service in English and Spanish, along with concierge pickup and drop-off across the South Bay. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Owners of Porsche, BMW, Audi, and Mercedes-Benz vehicles can find the new location, hours, and service list at luxurymotorssouthbay.com.
