Houston Regenerative Medicine is recognizing National Chiropractic Health Month this October, an annual observance led by the American Chiropractic Association, with a public overview of the clinic's founding and the structure of its clinical team.
The American Chiropractic Association selected "Joint Efforts" as the theme for its 2026 observance, focusing public attention on joint health across a lifetime. "Healthy joints are essential for staying active, independent and engaged throughout life," ACA President Kris Anderson, D.C., said in the association's announcement of the theme.
Houston Regenerative Medicine was founded in 2015 by Joel Cherdack, a doctor of chiropractic who has more than 20 years of clinical experience, according to the clinic. The clinical team also includes Andrew Hong, M.D. The practice operates from a single office in North Houston and lists services that include stem cell therapy, platelet-rich plasma, hormone replacement and testosterone therapy, peptide therapy and medically supervised weight management. Its website maintains separate service pages for stem cell procedures involving the knees, hips, shoulders and back.
"Chiropractic Health Month is a good occasion to be clear with the public about who is on the care team, what each clinician does and how questions get answered," said Cherdack, the clinic's founder. Cherdack remains the clinic's primary spokesperson, while Hong serves as the medical doctor on the clinical team.
Doctors of chiropractic and medical doctors hold different licenses with different scopes of practice. Doctors of chiropractic are licensed by a state chiropractic board, while medical doctors are licensed by a state medical board, and each board sets the rules that govern what its licensees may do. In Texas, chiropractors are licensed by the Texas Board of Chiropractic Examiners, while medical doctors are separately licensed by the Texas Medical Board. The clinic identifies each provider’s credential on its website, listing Cherdack as a doctor of chiropractic and Hong as a medical doctor.
The observance arrives as the regenerative medicine clinic marks more than a decade in operation. The practice lists its office hours as Monday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Tuesday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The clinic describes itself as locally owned and operated, and prospective patients can request a consultation through its website.
National Chiropractic Health Month is held each October, and the association said it would make a campaign toolkit available to members and the public for this year's observance. The 2026 theme centers on joint health, a subject tied to many of the musculoskeletal concerns that lead people to seek out chiropractic and regenerative care.
Location and hours for Houston Regenerative Medicine are listed at the clinic's website. The clinic can also be reached by phone at (346) 550-7171.
