Biotech And Biomimicry Stocks Lighting Up the Market

DENVER, Colo. (247marketnews.com) -- Biotech and life-science stocks are commanding attention as a fresh wave of momentum sweeps through the sector, with Silexion Therapeutics (NASDAQ:SLXN), Kraig Biocraft Laboratories (OTCQB:KBLB), 10x Genomics (NASDAQ:TXG), Moderna (NASDAQ:MRNA), AbCellera Biologics (NASDAQ:ABCL), Viatris (NASDAQ:VTRS), and Twist Bioscience (NASDAQ:TWST) among today’s notable names.

Silexion Therapeutics (NASDAQ:SLXN) is grabbing immediate attention after unveiling new preclinical data for SIL204. The company reported that its RNAi candidate can harness naturally occurring circulating lipoproteins to enter KRAS-driven cancer cells and produce dose-dependent knockdown of mutant KRAS expression without synthetic nanoparticles or transfection reagents. Serum-lipid depletion significantly reduced gene-silencing efficiency, while adding extra LDL did not improve potency, findings Silexion says support the idea that normal physiological lipoprotein levels may already be sufficient for cellular uptake. SLXN is among the most actively traded stocks today.

The bigger story is what Silexion believes the mechanism could mean for systemic delivery. Chief Scientific and Development Officer Mitchell Shirvan called the findings “an essential mechanistic milestone,” while CEO Ilan Hadar said the results provide “a strong mechanistic foundation for systemic subcutaneous delivery.” The company is advancing SIL204 through a Phase 2/3 program in locally advanced pancreatic cancer while continuing pharmacokinetic, cellular-uptake and biodistribution studies.

Kraig Biocraft Laboratories’ (OTCQB:KBLB) headline is commercialization. Kraig announced shipment of its first commercial order of recombinant spider-silk yarn to a performance sports brand, putting its engineered fiber into a real-world customer development program. The shipment follows a year of manufacturing expansion, including a nearly 2.5-metric-ton cocoon production cycle and, most recently, completion of the foundational Atlas Gene Library under Project Atlas. The company says Atlas is designed to enable new spider-silk variants with customized strength, toughness and flexibility characteristics.

Kraig CEO Kim Thompson has described the customer shipment as “a huge milestone for Kraig Labs,” while emphasizing performance sports as a proving ground for the material. The potential market extends well beyond apparel, from protective equipment and technical textiles to aerospace, automotive and medical applications. For now, the important transition is from laboratory achievement to customer testing. If performance brands validate the fiber in finished products, Kraig could have a substantially different commercial story on its hands.

10x Genomics (NASDAQ:TXG) is moving its Atera spatial-biology platform from launch hype into commercial reality. The company has begun global shipments after reporting that booked orders had already exceeded the 40 instruments it expected to ship during 2026. 10x says nearly all of the world's top 20 R&D-spending biopharma companies are purchasing Atera systems or services, while projects have been booked across more than 100 customers. CEO Serge Saxonov said, “Today is just the beginning,” as the company positions Atera as a platform for large-scale spatial biology, translational research and AI-oriented biological datasets.

The Atera launch also gives TXG another potential growth lever after a period in which the company has been working to expand its spatial-biology franchise. Early research programs span oncology, neuroscience, immunology and other disease areas, while institutions including the Allen Institute and Wellcome Sanger Institute are preparing large-scale projects. The company has also outlined future capabilities involving slide-preparation automation, RNA-protein multiomics and mutation detection. With Atera now shipping, the market gets its first meaningful test of whether the platform's early demand can translate into sustained instrument and consumables revenue.

10x Genomics (NASDAQ:TXG) set a new 52-week high today, $91.99, as have a number of other biotechs, including, Moderna (NASDAQ:MRNA), $208.90, AbCellera Biologics (NASDAQ:ABCL), $14.90, Viatris (NASDAQ:VTRS), $18.43, and Twist Bioscience (NASDAQ:TWST), $190.76.
